Judy Moonelis, whose works "Elizabeth" and "loop" are on the front and back covers, is a sculptor who lives and maintains a studio in New York City. Her work has been exhibited widely, including in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally, most recently at Temple Gallery Rome, and is represented by John Elder Gallery in Chelsea, New York City. She has been the recipient of major artist grants, including two National Endowment for the Arts Fellowships, two New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowships, and the Virginia A. Groot Fellowship.

Her work is represented in major public collections, including the Smithsonian Institutions' Renwick Gallery, American Craft Museum, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Everson Museum, and important private collections, including the Frederick Weisman, Frances Lewis, and Agnes Gund.

Moonelis has lectured extensively on her work at museums and universities, and taught previously at Rhode Island School of Design, New York University, Parsons School of Design, Hunter College, and Massachusetts College of Art. Moonelis currently teaches at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, N.J.
