A Dictionary of Albanian Religion, Mythology and Folk Culture
Folklore, April, 2002 by Thornton B. Edwards
In an endeavour to include so much, it is only to be expected that a certain amount of material has been excluded. Hence, there is nothing on folk costumes, traditional dances, folk music and unique Albanian instruments, nor folk crafts, which are an integral part of "folk culture." Yet, Elsie should indeed be praised for all that he has managed to include in this great work. The blurb on the jacket reads, "This unique volume will stand as the standard reference work on the subject for years to come." This is certainly true. Elsie's dictionary is indispensable to any good folklore library.
