Miranda July's multimedia performances have been presented globally and her radio performances can be heard regularly on NPR's The Next Big Thing. Event: The Urban institute For Contemporary Arts' X Performance Group presents the 12th annual 24 Hour Theatre event, 8 pm Jan. 10th. This energetic performance art event begins on Friday evening, when the writers gather and work through the night to draft their original plans. NEW YORK FATE

Lecture and Screening: Richard Flood, Cheif Curator of the Walker Arts Center in Minneapolis, MN will be present at Hallwalls in Buffalo for a discussion before the screening of the last parts of Matthew Barney's CREMASTER Cycle, Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8 pm. Without stripping away the mystery, Flood will discuss the artist's use of references to mythology, religion, and Hollywood.
