Toot Suite, by Klaus G. Roy. This short, three-movement unaccompanied work was written for the composer's granddaughter when she was 12 and taking flute lessons, and it is perfect for students. 1 min., 30 sec. Easy. $4.
Mokingbird Variations, by Keith Pettway. Based on the old song Listen to the Mockingbird, this set of variations includes bits of parodies with musical quotations from well-known works. 4 min., 10 sec. Moderately difficult. $11.
Fun Stuff for Two Flutes, by Marc Mir. Each of these pieces is its own story and may be played separately or as a group. These very clever duets should be performed playfully. 2 min.; 1 min., 50 sec.; 1 min., 20 sec. Intermediate. $7.
Two to Tango, by Ira-Paul Schwarz. A tribute to James and Jeanne Galway, this caprice is based on the folk song Lightly Row. After a straightforward introduction, the melody reverts to the style of a tango. 2 min., 30 sec. Moderately difficult. $7.
La Follia Variations, Op. 5, No. 12, arranged by David Heywood. This arrangement of Corelli's violin work preserves the original melody and bass lines and adds a third melodic line for C flute, alto or bass. 7 min. Intermediate. $12.
Finale from Quartet, Op. 76, No. 4, arranged by J. W. Downs. The fourth movement of this Haydn string quartet is beautifully arranged for flute quartet. Optional alto and bass flute parts are included. 7 min., 30 sec. Moderately difficult. $15.
Jeanie, with the Light Brown Hair, arranged by David Heywood. Stephen Foster's familiar melody is richly harmonized for four C flutes or two C flutes, alto and bass. 2 min. Easy. $7.
Symphony No. 4, arranged by Martin Melicharek III. This arrangement from William Boyce's Eight Symphonies in Eight Parts works for flute choirs of all ages. It is scored for five parts, with optional alto and bass flutes. 5 min., 45 sec. Intermediate. $13.50.
American Patriotic Music, arranged by Phyllis Avidan Louke. This collection of thirteen patriotic pieces can be played as a duet, trio, quartet or full flute choir. Descants and complete songsheet with lyrics are included. 1 min., 30 sec. each. Intermediate. $24.
The Art of the Fugue, arranged by Stephen Pollock. For saxophone quartet (SATB), these four contrapuncti, originally by J. S. Bach, are in Bach's original keys and lie perfectly within the range of the four saxophones. 9 min. Intermediate. $17.
