Go-Hyang, by David Burge. (Piano solo, edition P67842.) Go Hyang ("Ancestral Home") captures some of the feelings the composer has of Korea. He has not attempted to write Korean music, although there is a quotation from the old song Saetahryung ("Song of the Birds"). 18 pp. 10 min. Moderately difficult. $10.95.

Pieces breves, by G. Faure. (Piano solo, edition P7601.) This collection of short works provides an ideal introduction to Faure's music for the intermediate player. The technical demands on the pianist are far less than those required to master his larger works. New Urtext edition by Roy Howat. Intermediate. $12.95.

Flights of Fancy: Ballet for Organ, by William Albright. (Organ solo, edition P67560.) This piece, commissioned by the AGO for its 1982 National Convention in Atlanta, is an homage to folk music. It is a suite of eight dances, which can be seen as a symmetrical structure in its balance of key relationships (F major predominating) and dance types. 54 pp. 30 min. Difficult. $35.

"Still Life" at the Penguin Cafe, by Simon Jeffes. (Solo piano, edition PC01.) From David Bintley's ballet Still Life at the Penguin Cafe (with music by Simon Jeffes), this first, newly engraved sheet music edition is available exclusively from Edition Peters. 66 pp. Moderately difficult. $19.95.

Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33, by P. I. Tchaikovsky. (Solo cello and piano reduction, edition P7673.) This is the first edition to be published outside Russia, presenting the work in its original form--the accepted version for many eminent cellists. The edition includes the variations restored to their original sequence, Tchaikovsky's finale reinstated, appendices containing the more bravura finale re-written by Fitzenhagen--the work's dedicatee, and the composer's first draft of the fourth version. Difficult. $14.95.

"Barcarolle" From The Tales of Hoffmann, by J. Offenbach. (Soprano, mezzo-soprano and piano, edition P7671.) A well-loved classic from the operatic repertory, this sensuous and lilting love duet gently opens Act IV of Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann. Edited by Roger Nichols. Moderately difficult. $7.95.
