New England Conservatory appoints dean - Items of Interest

Tom Handel has been appointed dean of students of the New England Conservatory (NEC).

Prior to this appointment, Handel was organist and music instructor at Phillips Exeter Academy. He has taught in NEC's music history and music theory departments since 1994.

Handel received a B.M. degree in organ performance from Boston University and M.M. and D.M.A. degrees from NEC.
