The Janice K. Hodges Contemporary Piano Competition will take place February 1, 2003, at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA).
The competition is open to piano students from grades 4 to 12 who are Texas residents or study with a Texas-resident teacher.
First-, second- and third-place trophies will be awarded, and the grade 12 winner will be eligible to receive a renewable scholarship award of up to $3,000 per year for study as an undergraduate music major at UTSA.
Applications must be postmarked by January 10, 2003; late applications will not be accepted. A nonrefundable fee of $15 must accompany the application.
