The Appalachian MTA showcased a musical roundtable with conductors of the Symphony of the Mountains and Johnson City Symphony, church music directors and Tennessee MTA President Terry McRoberts, NCTM, to discuss how each group could benefit the other musically.
At the June 2004 state conference, Tennessee MTA awarded its first Distinguished Service Award to MTNA Secretary/Treasurer Benjamin Caton, NCTM.
