NPF sponsors after-school programs - Items of Interest - Brief Article

The National Piano Foundation (NPF) sponsored a pilot after-school group piano program in Richardson, Texas, a Dallas suburb.

The program forms partnerships among elementary school principals, a piano retailer and a group piano teacher, offering lessons to enrolled students.

Following initial success in one elementary school, the pilot program expanded to four Richardson schools, reaching 132 children whose parents had not intended to enroll them in piano lessons.
