Superscope PSD220 and PSD230 portable CD players offer innovative playback control features designed to enhance the practice of performing artists.
The PSD230 model includes independent tempo and key controls that let the user change tempo -33% to 50%, without a change in the key, or a key change of up to /- one octave, in half steps, without a change in tempo. The PDS230 also allows-the creation of rehearsal loops from selected start and stop points. A voice reduction system within the unit effectively reduces the lead vocals, enabling musicians to better hear the instrumentals or allowing a vocalist to sing along as the new lead. A mic/line input on the player that accepts either a 1/4" or XLR connection allows a microphone or an instrument to be plugged in and mixed with the CD, enhancing the practice performance.
The PSD220 is specifically designed for situations requiring tempo change only. Both models incorporate analog and digital stereo outputs for connection to powered speakers or a recording device, three-band EQ for tone balancing, built-in speaker and headphone jack with volume control and three-way power, as well as CD-TEXT and CD-RW compatibility.
