Note 6--Related Party: The Association provides accounting, managerial, and administrative services to the Music Teachers National Association Foundation ("the Foundation"). The Foundation is a separate legal entity that is an exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation was organized for the purpose of supporting the educational endeavors of the Association. Certain members of the Board of Directors of the Association are members of the Foundation's Board of Trustees.
