Roosevelt University recently recognized MTNA member Ludmila Lazar, for her exemplary service to the university and achievements in her career, with the Rolf A. Well Distinguished Service Award.
She is professor emeritus of piano and retired chair of the keyboard department in Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in music from Roosevelt.
Lazar, who resides in Skokie, is the recipient of the University's Outstanding Teacher Award. She has given recent lecture recitals, master classes and presentations in Budapest, Brazil and Ireland.
