Coda Music president receives award - Items of Interest - Brief Article

Coda Music Technology President John Paulson was recognized by the Berklee College of Music with the Golden Clef Award for his lifetime contribution to music education.

Paulson has overseen the conceptualization, development and introduction of numerous award-winning products from Coda, a global music technology company, since 1992. Among these are Finale, the world's best-selling music notation software, and SmartMusic Studio, the complete music practice system that features Intelligent Accompaniment and more than 20,000 music accompaniments. Paulson received degrees in music education from the University of Minnesota and the Eastman School of Music and served as a teacher for nine years in Minnesota public schools. He is a published composer and arranger, an active guest conductor and contest clinician, and has served on the boards of the Wenger Corporation, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Springboard Corporation and the International Association of Music Merchants.
