ASTA with NSOA announces CodaBows for America recipients - Items of Interest - American String Teachers Association, National School Orchestra Association - Brief Article

The American String Teachers Association WITH the National School Orchestra Association (ASTA WITI4 NSOA) announces the first recipients of the CodaBows for America Community Outreach Program, which assists under-resourced school and studio music programs, annually donating $5,000 worth of full-size CodaBow Aspire bows through CodaBow International, Ltd.

The recipients of the first round of CodaBows include South Miami Elementary School, Miami, Florida: Tinder Burris, strings instructor; Vivian Field Middle School, Farmers Branch, Texas: Maryann Driessner, orchestra director; Fremont Public Schools, Fremont, Nebraska: Kimberly Sue Lauritson, orchestra director; Valdosta Symphony Youth Orchestras, Valdosta, Georgia: Kirk Moss, coordinator, South Georgia String Project; Germantown Elementary School, Arnold, Maryland: Denise Nathanson, liaison, Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Adopt-a-School; Goffstown School District, Goffstown, New Hampshire: Muriel Orcutt, string instructor; Turie T. Small Elementary School, Daytona Beach, Florida: Andrew Spar, music instructor; Mona Shores High School, Muskegan, Michigan: Timothy Staudacher, music instructor; Boone High School, Boone, Iowa: David Swenson, music instructor; and Boltz Junior High School, Fort Collins, Colorado: Elizabeth Wells, music instructor.
