Woodwind and chamber ensemble sheet music publisher, ALRY Publications, Etc., Inc., presents its first double-CD set, Special Occasions, the sixth recording by The National Flute Choir, directed by Amy Rice Blumenthal. Special Occasions was released in honor of ALRY Publications' twentieth anniversary. Disk I, "Festive," includes joyful, jubilant fanfares, dances and masterpieces created for royal celebrations. Disk II, "Fanciful," features an eclectic international mix of pieces: some solemn or romantic, some sacred and others derived from folk traditions. The National Flute Choir is a group of twenty professional flutists from across the United States.
