Karen Harrington, NCTM, is an independent piano teacher from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she maintains a studio of forty students. She holds a B.M.E. degree with piano emphasis from the University of Oklahoma, where she studied with Celia Mae Bryant. A former president of Tulsa Accredited Music Teachers Association, Karen also has served as president of the Northeast District of Oklahoma Music Teachers Association.
Currently, she serves as president of the Piano Study Club in Tulsa and is a member of the Hyechka Club and the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She serves as an adjudicator and clinician for local associations. Through her company, Music Games 'N Things, Inc., Karen has created and produced theory games, including board game Forward March. Karen is a co-author of the Theory Workbooks for the Hal Leonard Student Piano Library and the author of the Hal Leonard Note Spellers.
