The life, thought and times of Constantine Zurayk are discussed. Zurayk embodied the idea of Arab nationalism in its early stages while performing his work as an educator. The author ends the book with a critical analysis of Zurayk's thought and legacy in the context of the experiences of Arab nationalism as it developed throughout the twentieth century. The book includes two very useful tables. The first lists studies about Zurayk and thhe second lists Zurayk's works.
