Nissan china venture to export - International Trends - Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.'s Dongfeng Motor Corp - Brief Article

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. says its Dongfeng Motor corp. joint venture may export trucks from China to developing countries within two years. The $1 billion joint venture will build both cars and trucks with much of production staying in China's growing local automotive market. Passenger cars will not be exported. The joint venture is expected to build 550,000 vehicles a year by 2006 and 900,000 vehicles a year by 2012.
