ArvinMeritor Inc. and Randon Participacoes, Caxais do Sul, Brazil, announced a joint venture agreement to develop, manufacture and sell truck and trailer components that will be marketed in South America. Under the agreement Suspensys, previously a division of Randon, will become a 50/50 partner between Randon and ArvinMeritor.

The new joint venture will focus on truck suspensions, trailer axles and suspensions and related wheel-end equipment and will combine ArvinMeritor's product technology with Randon's operations and manufacturing experience.
