Demand for Renault's Scenic has the assembly plant in Douai, Fiance, out--producing 1,650 vehicles a day on two shifts with 6,000 employees.
But plant director Yann Vincent plans to further boost efficiency by setting up a logistics center at the plant site that it will mm over to an outside logistics firm to prepare paris for the assembly line.

The goal, Vincent says, is to deliver two hours' worth of parts to the assembly line. He expects the operation start running with a small number of parts by the end of this year and to be at full speed by the end of next year.
