TRW Inc. teams up with Michelin to provide consumers with an advanced tire system. TRW contributes its Tire Watch System, which uses sensors mounted on the tire valve stem to monitor air pressure and temperature inside the tire and transmit that information via radio signal to an in-vehicle control unit for driver display. Michelin contributes its Pax System, a run-flat tire.
