Johnson Controls debuts Gentex Corp.'s new light emitting diodes in a 2000 Ford Explorer, lighting door panels -- great for finding those handles at night--and map lights. Combining synthetic-white LEDs and Orca (a proprietary power package), the new LEDs produce up to 10 times more light than anything currently available.
