The VGS 3010, called the Gripper, features a suction cup and a multi-stage air driven vacuum pump integrated in a single unit. The VGS 3010 can function at operating pressures below 45 psi, increasing reliability in case of a breakdown in the air pressure network. The suction cups are from a specially developed polyurethane and form to many surfaces and can grip both porous, leaky materials, such a corrugated as well as coarse and curved surfaces.
