Photosensor

Automotive Industries, Nov, 2003

Fairchild Semiconductor announced the release of its QSB34 sensor. The sensor is designed to offer design flexibility by providing a range of features and specifications in compact, surface-mount packaging. The PIN photodiode sensor has a surface area of 3 mm x 3 mm and a reception angle of 120 degrees. Its packaging creates a transparent daylight filter that is optimized for reception of 880 to 940 nm wavelength light. The diode's 25pF capacity and small series resistance typically delivers a rise time (tr) and fall time (tf) of 20 ns. Dynamic signal range is typically 60 dB and the QSB34 also offers very good dc signal linearity and low noise. Fairchild Semiconductor, website: www.fairchildsemi.com.
