Automotive Industries, Nov, 2003
Heraeus Sensor Technology has announced the introduction of its new Pt200-type platinum temperature sensor, the HA 421, manufactured to provide performance and stability over a broad temperature range usually associated with more expensive ceramic wire-wound elements. Heraeus says the sensors will be available in the first quarter of 2004. According to the company, the sensors were developed to meet the demands of the automotive industry. Available in both bare-element form or prepackaged in a protective housing, the HA 421 is designed to work over a wide temperature range of -70[degrees]C to 1000[degrees]C. The standard temperature coefficient is 3770 ppm/K. Other coefficients and resistance values are available. Heraeus Sensor Technology, e-mail: sales@dwmai.com.
