Why keep on trucking?

Automotive Industries, Nov, 2004 by Nick Houvras

Maryann Keller's article, "Limiting Options" (AI, Sept. 2004, pg. 14) is exactly the point I have been trying to make with my company, General Motors, for almost two years. Do they listen? No. In fact, Rick Wagoner sent out two security officers to my home to find out how I got in to see the new Prius being torn down at the GM Vehicle assessment center. Your voice is like the falling tree in the forest. If no one is there to hear the sound, is there a sound? Americans are drunk on fat trucks, trucks and more trucks. I guess the insurance for a pickup truck is less than a four door sedan. This could be one of the reasons for more trucks.

I am a sedan person and I have always loved the idea of 80 miles to a gallon of gas.
