Sponsored by Automotive Industries magazine, carDESIGNnews.com, Michelin, ASC and other automotive-affiliated companies, the awards ceremony was held at the Automotive Hall of Fame in Dearborn, Mich., and honored newly introduced production and concept vehicles displayed at the show and the design teams that created them. In total, 16 awards were presented.
The awards are part of the Eyes on Design events sponsored by the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology.
The winners were selected by a group of more than 30 international judges from the automotive, design and supply industries and academia.
