FRANKFURT -- New vehicle sales dropped 0.13 percent in Western Europe during 2001, with total sales touching 17,014,219 units. Volkswagen AG grabbed the most share with 17.42 percent, followed by PSA Peugeot Citroen with 14.71 percent, Renault SA with 11.15 percent, Ford Motor Co. with 10.95 percent, Fiat SpA with 10.10 percent and General Motors Corp. with 9.93 percent.
