The Timken Company of Canton, Ohio reached a technology-license agreement with Sumitomo Metal Industries to supply proprietary steel to Honda. The lead-free steel was developed by Sumitomo and is formulated to improve machining properties. Timken will produce the steel in its Canton facility.
