Older Drivers Dont Want An Old Persons Car

Safety is the top concern for mature drivers, says the AARP. Gas economy falls in the middle, and prestige rounds out the list. There are 31 million mature drivers today, but by the year 2010 there will be 51 million. That's a lot of potential car sales for the company that can understand their needs. "Mature drivers don't want to drive a car that is described and sold as a car marketed to old drivers. They're very sensitive to that issue," adds Jim Haugen, president of Haugen & Associates.
