Steel frame conveyor - New Products

Automotive Industries,  June, 2002

Alvey Systems, Inc., a division of FKI Logistex, has developed a steel frame version of its Accuzone case conveyor. The system is based on a modular design and uses individually powered and controlled accumulation zones that accurately place one unit per zone. The conveyor's rollers use 24-volt direct current brushless motors instead of chains, belts or pneumatics.

Each zone has an individual drive roller allowing for zone operation when the specific product has to move. It includes straight, curve, merge/divert, and right angle and incline/decline transfer modules. It can transport up to 75 pounds per zone at speeds of 30 to 240 feet per minute. www.alvey.com
