Toyota Motor Corp. has appointed Tadashi Arashima the new president and chief executive officer of Toyota Motor Marketing Europe effective June 27. Arashima will be responsible for all marketing and sales activities across Europe. In addition, Alan Jones has been named executive vice president of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing Europe (TMEM) and chairman of Toyota Motor Manufacturing U.K. (TMUK).
As executive vice president of TMEM, Jones will assume direct responsibility for the Quality and Production Engineering divisions. Jones is also the first European to hold a post of managing officer for TMC. Bryan Jackson will succeed Jones as Managing Director of TMUK.

Kazuhiko Miyadera has been appointed as executive vice president at TMEM. Miyadera will assume responsibility for Research and Development at TMEM. As part of a new streamlined management system, aimed at boosting Toyota's global competitiveness, Arashima and Jones will also hold the title of Managing Officer of Toyota Motor Corp.
