Honda, Toyota first to sell fuel-cells

Automotive Industries,  August, 2002  by Andrea Wielgat

Honda Motor Co. and Toyota Motor Corp. are expected to launch the industry's first fuel cell passenger cars by the end of the year. Because of their high cost, Toyota expects to lease just 20 in the first year to research institutions, energy companies and government agencies. Honda has not said how many it expects to sell in the first year.
