Simple rules

Automotive Industries,  August, 2004  by Fwu Kuo

I appreciate reading Gary Witzenburg's article on "GM Rocks" and his response to Chris Patrick's bashing to OHV engine design Patrick is a typical example of many people who are biased and think whatever technology employed by the U.S. automotive makers are low tech and outdated.

As engineers, we all know the simpler design the better. The GM 3.8L engine in my '92 minivan is still running as silky as can be and I plan to keep it for the foreseeable future.
