Sierra Instruments Inc. of Monterey, Calif., has added the MODBUS communications and HART Full Device Description to its line of Innova-Mass Multivariable Vortex Mass Flow Meters. The interface features direct import of the following variables: meter serial number; totalized flow plus units; mass and volumetric flow plus units; velocity and reynold's number of the flowing fluid; and more. Innova-Mass provides outputs for five process variables--mass flow rate, volumetric flow rate, temperature, pressure and fluid density.
