Banner GmbH of Linz, Austria, and East Penn Manufacturing Co. of Lyon Station, PA, say they will form a joint venture to expand customer service in each other's native markets. Banner/East Penn Battery Service GmbH will expand customer service in marketing, distribution, product development, engineering and manufacturing technology in both Europe and North America.

East Penn produces lead-acid batteries and accessories while Banner makes lead-acid starter batteries.
