Rodale Names Editorial Director, Organic Living Group

Christopher Hirsheliner, the former executive editor and co-founder of Saveur, has been named editorial director of Rodale's Organic Living Group.

Hirsheimer will oversee all editorial staff for Organic Gardening, Organic Living Books and Rodale's new magazine, Organic Style.

Since 1994, Hirsheimer's writing, editing and photography have been key elements of Saveur. Under her direction, the magazine was nominated for 14 National Magazine Awards, winning three. She also helped launch Garden Design and was its editor at large.

Circulation Julie Michalowski to vice president of circulation, The Golf Digest Companies, from circulation director. Tawni Fite to circulation director, Chile Pepper, from marketing manager with The News Group.

Corporate Joseph Loggia to president and chief operating officer, Advanstar Inc., from president and chief executive officer, MAGIC International, a subsidiary of Advanstar. James F. Else to senior vice president, Time4 Media, from vice president, sales and marketing for Time Inc.'s Media Sales & Marketing Group.

Editorial & Art Sarah Gray Miller to editor, Rodale's new magazine, Organic Style, from features editor, Garden Design. Meg Grant to West Coast editor, Reader's Digest, from Los Angeles deputy bureau chief, People.

Management Julian Lowin to publisher, Red Herring, from publisher, Fast Company. Colleen Wyse to publisher, Women's Wear Daily. Wyse was the former associate publisher of Wmagazine.

Marketing and Promotions Maarten Terry to vice president/group marketing, Time4 Media's Consumer Marketing Group, from marketing director, Time Inc. Julie Krumholz to vice president of marketing, Newsweek, from associate vice president of CNET's strategic content-syndication marketing group.
