Initial distribution/circulation: The first issue of the monthly magazine was sent to the combined, approximately 54,000 worldwide, aggregate circulation of the predecessor publications Petroleum Engineer International, Hart's Oil and Gas World and Euroil. An additional 2,000 copies reserved for free distribution at trade shows. Circulation is approximately 90 percent controlled to qualified industry professionals; otherwise, $149 for 12 issues.

Editorial highlights: The premier issue features articles on drilling in the world's deepwater hot spots; the latest advances in drilling and downhole technology; and an interview with Sir John Browen, chairman of BP Amoco. Monthly features target specific disciplines or geographic regions and interviews with leading industry/government figures. Regular coverage of five technology segments: exploration, well construction; offshore and marine; production optimization; and information technology.

Ad profile: Full-page, black-and-white ad is $5,450; four-color ad is $7,100.
