Veronis Suhler Stevenson took another step toward winding down its Fund II last month with the sale of Centaur Communications to a shell corporation underwritten by Numis Securities, a London brokerage firm. Numis floated a $145 million IPO for Centaur on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. Centaur's publications include The Lawyer and Marketing Week. Earlier this year, VSS moved Chemical Week Associates out of Fund II by merging it with PBI Media, which belongs to Fund III.
