One-party rule may be making a comeback in Russia, but that does not signal a retreat from the pursuit of wealth that has produced an affluent elite in post-Soviet Russia. The latest sign? CurtCo Media has licensed the first international edition of the ultra-luxury Robb Report in Russia. It will be published by a joint venture between Hearst Magazines International and the Moscow-based Independent Media. "The affluent segment of Russia has quickly developed into a robust market," says Dan Galpern, executive vice president of CurtCo. "There's a whole host of connoisseurs of fine goods and services in Russia who are looking for a title like this."
