Folio: The Magazine for Magazine Management, May, 2001
In April, H&S Media Inc. announced the layoffs of 15 employees, the relocation of TeenStyle, and closure of two of its titles--celebrity-teen magazine Hot and Pojo's Pokemon.
Although the nearly two-year-old, 230,000-circulation fashion-focused TeenStyle experienced a drop-off in newsstand sales in a saturated teen market, the company says it remains invested in the magazine. The title is reportedly relocating to Illinois from Los Angeles to undergo a "retooling."
