Deja vu at Houston Metropolitan - Mark Inabnit's Gulf Breeze Associates re-acquires magazine - Brief Article

Folio: The Magazine for Magazine Management, Oct 1, 1993

Mark Inabnit, the man who started the forerunner of Houston Metropolitan 19 years ago, has secured control of the magazine once again. His company, Gulf Breeze Associates, took over August 27 from Houston's Metro Traffic Control. In January, he promises a "new name, a new concept and a new size." Inabnit founded the publication as Houston Home & Garden in 1974 and sold it to Diedrick Communications in 1983.

Metro Traffic took control in August 1992. Roger Tremblay, who resigned amid controversy from a sexual harassment suit after the Metro Traffic takeover, will return as associate publisher. The suit is still pending.
