Plenum Press, publisher of 90-plus scientific, technological and medical journals, has launched the Journal of Environmental Polymer Degradation, a quarterly that made its debut in January. The publication is designed to be a forum for publishing research information from the disciplines involved in the field of materials degradation, new degradable materials, blends and composites, testing, solid-waste management and prediction and simulation of polymer degradation.

The journal is targeted to researchers, practitioners, educators, technologists and students. A subscription costs $125 for institutions and $50 for individuals. Richard A. Gross and Stephen P. McCarthy share the top editorial spot. Mark Shaw is executive vice president. Circulation figures are not disclosed. The cost of a black-and-white ad page is $400.
