Sandy Berliner has been promoted to publishing director/group vice president of the new furniture manufacturing group at Cahners Publishing Company. His new responsibilities include overseeing the publishing activities of subsidiary Delta Communications' FDM/Furniture Design & Manufacturing, Cabinetmaker, and UDM/Upholstery Design & Manufacturing, as they are integrated into the Cahners fold. He will also function in a supervisory capacity to the publisher of Converting Magazine.
Previously group vp with the Chicago-based Delta unit, Berliner has fulfilled executive roles for the company's three furniture titles. He began his career as a sales rep for Cahners' Graphic Arts Monthly.

Berliner earned a B.A. in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and is an active member of the advisory board of Pittsburgh State University, located in Kansas.
