Forming and Fabricating - Brief Article

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers, publisher of Manufacturing Engineering, has launched Forming and Fabricating, slated for a nine-times-a-year frequency. The title, which bowed in January, is the official publication of SME's Fabricating Technologies Association and targets the fabricating industry.

Editorial addresses basic issues involved in parts production, ranging from sheet-metal handling to punching, stamping, bending, welding and cleaning for industries such as automotive, machine tools and appliance. Featured are trend reports, product reviews and case studies for helping engineers improve their businesses. John R. Coleman is the editor in chief; Thomas Drozda is publisher. Circulation is 68,000 nonpaid, but the magazine is available by subscription for $70 per year and at $6 per single issue. The ad rate for a black-and-white page is $3,700. Address: One SME Dr., P.O.
