Directory of Magazine awards The following is a list of awards competitions for magazines and their staffs. We recommend that, prior to entering a contest, you write for a brochure, or contact the sponsor three to six months before the contest deadline. Your entry could be disqualified if you do not follow the rules for submission, which are not included in this directory. Entry fees and deadlines are as up to date as possible. However, you should check with the contest sponsor for confirmation.

ASJA Outstanding Author Award goes to a contemporary writer who has made a significant contribution to American culture. It is presented to a periodical upholding the highest standards of magazine journalism and honors an ASJA member who has published an article demonstrating excellence in non-fiction writing.

Alternative Press Awards

Circulation Direct Marketing Awards

Clarion Awards
