Transactions Openings Amin Family LLC opened a 58-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Thomasville, N.C. Budget Inn & Suites LLC opened a 68-room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites in Santa Maria, Calif. Cedar Falls Lodge & Suites LLC plans to open a 57-room AmericInn in Cedar Falls, Iowa this summer. Columbia Sussex opened the 283-room Milwaukee Marriott West in Waukesha, Wis. Chris Dean and Pete Patel opened a 72-unit Comfort Inn & Suites in Cincinnati. Drury Development Corp. opened a 160-room Drury Inn & Suites in Horn Lake, Miss. Featherstone Hotels LLC opened the 101-room Microtel Inn & Suites at Washington--Dulles Airport in Va. The Flatley Co. opened the 464-room Boston Marriott Quincy. Fox Squirrel LP opened a 112-room GuestHouse International Inn in Hardeeville, S.C. Richard Hedreen opened the 425-room Elliott Grand Hyatt Seattle. Hospitality Management opened the 125-room Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta North Point in Alpharetta, Ga. Jalta LLC will open a 42-room AmericInn Motel & Suites in Long Lake, Minn., this summer. J-MAC Investment LLC opened a 127-room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites in Methuen, Mass. Jugal Purohit opened a 110-room GuestHouse International Inn in Augusta, Ga. Stewart Juneau opened the 230-suite Iberville Suites in New Orleans. The Steve Martin Management Co. opened the 40-unit Best Western in Cannon Beach, Ore. Bakul M. Mehta opened a 65-room GuestHouse International Inn in Hemet, Calif. Le Meridien opened the 311-room Le Meridien in Chicago. Music City Hotel LP opened a 208-suite Embassy Suites Hotel in the West End/Vanderbilt University District in Nashville, Tenn. Noble Investments Group LTD opened the 122-room Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Northeast/Gwinnett Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga. Balu and Usha Patel opened a 41-room Comfort Inn in Lathrop, Calif. Pfeiffer Rd LP opened a 177-room Clarion Hotel & Suites in Cincinnati. Quayside Place Partners opened the 233-room Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Hotel in Fla. Rockaway Townsquare LLC opened a 162-room Hilton Garden Inn in Rockaway, N.J. SHIVAM opened the 82-room GuestHouse International Wilshire Inn in Cushing, Okla. Shriji opened a 126-room GuestHouse International Inn & Conference Center in Albert Lea, Minn. Western Steel opened a 59-room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites in Dupont, Wash. John Whiddon opened a 172-room GuestHouse International Inn & Suites in Montgomery, Ala. White Lodging Services Corp. opened an 87-suite SpringHill Suites in Mishawaka, Ind. Management Winegardner and Hammons and Eager Realty Group opened the 295-room Austin (Texas) Marriott North. Yogi Management LLC opened a 61-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Salinas, Calif. Accor North America will manage the 259-room Sofitel in Montreal. The hotel is scheduled to open in the spring of 2002. Development Management Corp. will manage the 185-room Regent Boston at Battery Wharf Hotel and Residences. The complex also features 99 condominiums. The hotel will open in the spring of 2003. Gemstone Resorts International manages the 119-unit Forest Inn Suites Resort in South Lake Tahoe, Calif. Geneva Hospitality manages the 222-suite Cove of Lake Geneva (Wis.) Resort. Financing The Kessler Enterprise manages the food and beverage operation at the 250-room Westin Grand Bohemian in Orlando. The hotel has 24-hour roomservice. Rosewood Hotels & Resorts manages the 190-room Carlyle Hotel in New York. Ayres Country Suites--Ontario Mills LP financed $8.75 million through Avalon Financial Group for the 138-room Ayres Country Suites at the Mills Mall in Ontario, Calif. A subsidiary of Columbia Sussex Corp. received a $29.25-million loan from Corus Bank for the purchase and renovation of the 366-unit Tan-Tar-A resort in Osage Beach, Mo. Acquisitions RLJ Development financed $40.5 million through AFC Realty Capital for the acquisition of five Homewood Suites by Hilton in Billerica, Mass.; Brentwood, Tenn.; Bloomington, Minn.; Dallas; and Farmington, Conn. Amerimar Enterprises bought the 319-room Red Lion in Houston from the Hilton Hotel Corp. for $20 million. Convention Center Drive LLC bought the 193-room Convention Center Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas from WWF Hotel & Casino Ventures LLC. F&M Motels sold the 151-room Clarion Hotel in New Port Richey, Fla., for $6.6 million to New Port Richey Investors LLC. Homestead Motel bought the 58-room Microtel Inn in Tupelo, Miss., for $1.88 million from Little Properties. James Hotels bought the 148-room Holiday Hotel & Suites in Clearwater, Fla., from Menna Development for $8.7 million. Lend Lease Real Estate Investments acquired the 365-room Marriott at the Capitol in Austin, Texas, from USAA Real Estate LP. Meristar Hospitality Corp. sold the 213-room Four Points Hotel in Cherry Hill New Jersey to Growth Properties for $7.8 million. Millennium Hotels and Resorts sold the 156-room Quality Inn in Colorado Springs, Colo., to McBride Associates LLC for between $30,000 and $35,000 per room. Oly Realty One sold the 132-room Susse Chalet in Portland, Maine, to H.I.M. Portland LLC. Pinnacle Hotels USA purchased the 124-room Days Inn--Encinitas and the 170-room Ramada Limited & Suites--Mission Valley, both of which are located in San Diego County, Calif., from Trigild Investments. Prime Hospitality Corp. sold the 82-unit Wellesley Inn in Fairfax, Va., to Elite Hotels LLC for $4.987 million. Shaner Hotel Group LP sold the 123-room Hampton Inn in Kinston, N.C., to Reco Properties for $3.3 million. Tucker Highway Motor Lodge sold the 162-room Red Carpet Inn--Belle Meade in Harrisonburg, Va., to MARJAN for $2.25 billion. Value Enhancement Fund IV LP bought the 636-room Doubletree National Airport in Arlington, Va., from Arlington Hotel Co. Washington Park Hotel Associates sold the 219-room Doubletree Washington Park Terrace Hotel to an affiliate of Amstar Group Ltd. Affiliates of Westmont Hospitality and ING Barings sold the 198-room Radisson San Gabriel Valley in Baldwin Park, Calif., to Kam Sang Co.
