Consolidated Resorts to group properties under Soleil Resort flag

Hotel & Motel Management, July 15, 2002

Las Vegas -- Consolidated Resorts plans to bring all of the resorts in its network under the Soleil Resort banner. The company is a developer of 11 vacation-ownership resorts in Nevada and Hawaii.

Each resort will keep its existing name and add the designation "A Soleil Resort Property." The company stated that the branding effort is part of an overall effort to create awareness of the company's reputation for quality and service. Consolidated expects the branding to be completed by the end of the year.

Consolidated Resorts also created a separate company to handle the property-management and customer service/reservations functions for the company's resorts. It also has instituted standards for quality and service at all the company's resorts and centralized the customer-service and reservation departments.

The company's resorts in Las Vegas are the Club de Soleil and the soon-to-be-built Tahiti. The company's portfolio also includes The Gardens at West Maui, Hono Koa Resort, Kahana Beach Resort, Kahana Villa Resort, Maui Banyan Resort, Maui Beach Resort and the Sands of Kahana on the island of Maui; the Kona Islander on the big island of Hawaii; and the Imperial Hawaii Resort in Honolulu.

Consolidated Resorts was founded in 1982 and has approximately 40,000 vacation-ownership members.
