Teledex, a provider of guestroom telecommunications solutions, announced the release of its ExpressNet AirLink in-room terminal for high-speed Internet access. AirLink brings together an 802.11g wireless access point, a wireless Ethernet client, and a VDSL (very high bit-rate digital subscriber line) converter all in one compact package. The new product enables hoteliers in all market segments to simultaneously deploy wired and wireless HSIA in all guestrooms, as well as public areas, such as lobbies and restaurants. AirLink attaches to the underside of virtually all Teledex hotel telephones, helping to eliminate clutter on the guest-room desk.
