Acquisitions

Ameri-First Financial Group purchased the 223-room Corpus Christi (Texas) Homegate Hotel.

Bass Hotel & Resorts bought the San Juan Grand Beach Resort & Casino in Puerto Rico from Puerto Rico Hotel Opco Ltd. and will reflag it the Inter-Continental Hotel San Juan.

Berwind Property Group purchased the 240-room Wyndham Bristol Hotel in Washington. It will be renamed The Melrose Hotel--Washington, D.C.

CNL Hospitality Corp. bought a hotel in Billerica, Mass., and one in Denver from Wyndham International for a total of $43 million.

Great Lakes LLC acquired the 71-room Ojibway Hotel & Conference Center of Sault Ste. Marie (Mich.) from GMAC.

Great Lakes Straits LLC purchased the 84-room Days Inn of Mackinaw City (Mich.) from Fountain Corp. and the 100-room Comfort Inn of St. Ignace (Mich.) from Nardone & Pressy Enterprises.

Hyde Park Hotels bought the 128-unit AmeriSuites Tulsa/Hyde Park (Okla.) from Prime Hospitality Corp.

Marriott International sold a Residence Inn, two Courtyards by Marriott, three SpringHill Suites and three TownePlace Suites to CNL Hospitality for $100 million in cash.

Northland/Marquette Capital Group, a private, commercial real-estate investment-banking firm, purchased Trowbridge, Kieselhorst & Company, a real-estate investment firm.

Pareek Enterprises sold the 53-room Days Inn (Grenada, Miss.) to Ashwin & Harry Kher.

Prudential Real Estate Investors and the Davidson Hotel Co. purchased the 281-room Agoura Hills Radisson Hotel in Agoura Hills, Calif., from Westmont Hospitality Group.

Purushottam bought the 100-room Quality Inn and Suites in Charlotte, N.C., from G&T Hotel for $1.725 million.

David Staruch purchased the 101-room Quality Inn in Houghton Lake, Mich., from HLI LLC.

Tharaldson Lodging sold a 56-room Comfort Inn (Beloit, Wis.) to a private investor for $1.9 million.

Ty Warner acquired the San Ysidro Ranch Hotel in Santa Barbara, Calif., through an affiliate entity. Auberge Resorts will continue to operate the resort.

Uniwell-Lee Visalia LLC purchased the 257-room Holiday Inn (Visalia, Calif.) from LaSalle Hotel Properties.

3D/International is designing the full-service boutique Hotel Valencia that will be built in San Antonio. The 12-story, 213-room hotel will be located along San Antonio's Paseo del Rio and will be the flagship property for newly created Hotel Valencia Corp. Goundbreaking is set for December, and the opening is scheduled for 2002.

BRAM Hospitality and Development is building a 98-room Fairfield Inn in Mooresville, S.C.

Buckhead America Corp. is developing a 40-unit Country Hearth Inn in Fitzgerald, Ga.

Marriott International hired Cole Russell Architects to design a Residence Inn and Courtyard on one site in Elizabeth, N.J.

The 375-room Ritz-Carlton, South Beach (Miami) is being developed by DiLido Beach Resorts Ltd.

The Dimension Development Corp. is building a 108-room Homewood Suites by Hilton in Mahwah, N.J.

G.B. Hotel Partners Ltd. is developing a 350-room Ritz-Carlton on Key Biscayne in Florida.

The 115-room Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove (Miami) is being built by Grove Miami Holdings.

A 60-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Springville, N.Y., is being developed by Indus Hospitality LLC. The Johnston family plans to build a 68-room Baymont Inn & Suites in Lima, Ohio.

The 94-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton in Tallahassee, Fla., is being developed by Kelco/FB Tallahassee LLC.

Leisure Development LLC is building the 82-unit Hawthorn Suites LTD in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Robert Henry Architects is planning to develop an eco-sensitive retreat at the Amelia Island Plantation (Fla.).

Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts is building the Paradisus Coco Beach All-Inclusive Beach Resort in the Rio Grande area of Puerto Rico.

A 208-unit AmeriSuites hotel in Washington is being developed by Wright Investment Properties.

Baba Hotels opened the 75-unit Comfort Suites hotel at Fossil Creek in Forth Worth, Texas.

Belle Grove Inn Associates/LLC opened the 145-room Sleep Inn & Suites Airport in Baltimore.

Best Western International opened the 86-room Best Western Inn & Suites--Midway Airport in Burbank, Ill., and the 49-room Best Western Woodstone in Wiggins, La.

Chrisbo LLC opened a 73-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Rapid City, S.D.

Coastal Hotel Group opened the 96-room Orchard Hotel in San Francisco.

Cornerstone Enterprises opened an 80-suite Hawthorn Suites LTD in Houston.

Crossroads of America LLC opened a 54-room AmericInn (Grimes, Iowa).

Davis Investment LLC opened a 57-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Bernalillo, N.M.

Day Hospitality Group opened a 90-room SpringHill Suites in Kennesaw, Ga.

G.S. Hospitality LLC opened an 82-room Microtel Inn & Suites in Tifton, Ga.

ICT Hospitality opened a 103-room Hilton Garden Inn (Witchita, Kan.).

Jameson Inns opened a 67-room Jameson Inn (Lakeland, Fla.) and a 55-room Jameson Inn (Pooler, Ga.).

Kelco Management & Development will open the 166-suite Ocean Point Resort & Club in Sunny Isles, Fla.

Millennium Hospitality opened a 75-unit Comfort Inn & Suites in College Park, Ga.
